WomenBizSENSE Meeting at Global Ginseng’s outlet

Time: 2.45pm to 5.30pm
Venue: 3rd Floor, Pekaka Square, Taman Pekaka, Jalan Sungai Dua.
Over 20 members and guests happily gathered at member Mei Fen’s shop on this day.
Why? Because they were there to take part in the mini workshop on Business Ethics and Integrity, facilitated by Lillian Lim.
The topics discussed covered:paying taxes and creditors on time; paying reasonable salaries and wages to workers; refusing to elicit, accept or pay bribes, and reporting those who do; and negotiating all contracts with utmost integrity.
The participants had a good time discussing the pros and cons of the given topics and sharing their experience on handling issues.
Besides learning business ethics and integrity, the participants also had the chance to learn more about the cultivation, processing and health benefits of ginseng from the hostess, Mei Fen.
A satisfied consumer of ginseng, Ms Chu, was present to share her success story on improving her health.
As a parting gift, participants were requested by the gracious hostess to look beneath their seats for the ginseng product they would get and claim from Mei Ling.
Like all other WBS gatherings, afternoon tea was the time for members and guests to mingle and get to know each other. Food was aplenty and yummy, thanks to Mei Fen’s mother who had volunteered to cook curry chicken, fried bee hoon and herbal soup for all of us. Thank you, Auntie!
Before the event ended, Lilian invited the ladies to join the coming WBS Anniversary Hi-Tea on 6th July 2013 at Hotel Equatorial. Yes, please do join us, all you women in business!
