ABOUT MARESA NG

Maresa Ng is the CEO of ActionCOACH Spark Activators as well as the CEO & Co-Founder of
SMETalent.com. Maresa’s corporate career as a banker involved helping small and medium businesses, as well as large corporations raise funds for their multi-billion dollar projects and expansion.

Starting a professional business coaching company had allowed her to focus on what had now become a passion for engaging Business Owners and assisting them in achieving their desired results. As an award winning coach at ActionCOACH’s Asia Pacific Conference in 2010 and 2011, Maresa is one of fourteen Business Coaches honored with this award, in recognition of her achievements and commitment to her business. Maresa has worked with many Business Owners and has coached their businesses to massive revenues and profits! ABOUT OUR 4 WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

The 4 women entrepreneurs are also the highlight of the seminar besides Maresa Ng, a popular and successful business coach we’re flying in from KL, just for this event!
1. Gina Koay is a pharmacist/business owner of City Wellness Pharmacy.
2. Lisa Lee is a beauty salon owner (Soul Balance Wellness & Spa) with 4 outlets in Penang (P.Tikus, Green Lane, Tanjung Bungah & Queensbay Mall). She also recently published her book.
3. Jeanette Hee runs Human Nature Malaysia, an online store selling personal skincare from the Philippines.
4.Mardilyn King is from Vision Academy Malaysia and an experienced entrepreneur in the child development business.

These 4 dynamic ladies will present a session at the seminar called “Success Secrets of 4 Dynamic Women Entrepreneurs” where they will openly discuss what it means to start, grow and sustain their respective product & service businesses.

ABOUT ROSE LEONG

Rose Leong received her education at the Convent Light Street, Penang. After leaving school in 1967, she started working life as an English Language teacher in an adult- education centre. She commenced life in the industrial sector in 1970 and worked her way up the corporate ladder through rank and file.

She holds a Certificate in Personnel Management from the Malaysian Institute of Personnel Management and a Diploma in Management from the Malaysian Institute of Management. Rose has 44 years of working experience, during which she served 8 organisations, 3 of which are public-listed companies.She is currently the operations manager in a foreign worker recruitment and consultancy company in Penang. This company used to help her recruit foreign workers when she was working as a factory HR manager.

ABOUT MINDY ONG

She holds Master of Science Degree in Human Resources Management, Portsmouth University, UK and has been in the field of Human Resources for more than 30 years. She has worked in various corporations, namely from manufacturing (sugar refinery and also semiconductors), hospitality and services industry, etc. Mindy is also a trainer and lecturer – she lectures at training institutions and colleges in Penang. She is also a HR consultant for the SMEs in Penang.

She started out at EMC Logistics Holdings Bhd , public listed company, now known as SanBumi Holdings Bhd as its HR Manager. She then moved on to the semiconductor industry in the Penang Free Trade Zone. She has also worked in a unionized environment at a sugar refinery industry in Prai, in charge of HR and Purchasing matters. Before retiring, she worked in the hospitality and services industry.

Her HR experience and scope includes:

  • Reviewing, initiating and maintaining HR policies and relevant procedures and ensuring compliance from all levels of staff
  • Preserving good industrial harmony and industrial relations with Unions and Exco members.
  • Advisingand interpreting employment legislation to department heads pertaining to employees relations and disciplinary issues & attending to employee grievances and disputes which remain unresolved at departmental level.
  • Implementing talent management strategy which includes recruitment, selection, performance management, succession planning, training and development, compensation and benefits and etc.
