Webinar Topic: As the Pandemic and Lockdown Drag on, How will SMEs Survive?
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Penang and Malaysia are facing challenges in sustaining their business operations. The movement control orders bring about detrimental effects to SMEs, which constitute about 99% of the total establishments in Penang, against a background of challenging global economy, weaker consumer demand, disruptions in supply chain and mobility restrictions. This webinar focuses on the issues faced by SMEs during the pandemic and movement control orders and how businesses navigate through this testing period, as well as some survival stories from selected Penang women entrepreneurs.
